The JumpOff: Postseason Pandemonium

Never can I remember a time where there has been so much buzz before the NBA Draft.  The talk of the town was about how the NBA is in shambles because of the Warriors playoff dominance.  There are only two teams that can really compete against Golden State, and the rest of the league knows this as well. So what do you do when you can’t beat a team right now? You rebuild for the future or create postseason pandemonium.

Every team not named Golden State has placed a player on the trade block.  Most teams are trying to reach within the top ten of tonight’sdraft.  Personally, there are only three players who can become game changers and the others have potential. I believe Fultz, Ball, and Josh Jackson are those can’t miss players.  Fultz has the scoring ability of an Isiah Thomas.  Ball has a very smooth game that will transition well within the NBA.  His decision making on the court reminds me of LeBron.  He’s a pass first guard with the ability to score as well, but he must improve his upper body strength.  Josh Jackson is not only my favorite but that seems to be the impression around the league as well.  The Bulls, Knicks, Suns, Trailblazers are all enamored enough to try and trade up for the “Kid out of Kansas”.  He’s the best all-around player in the draft, and reminds me a lot of the former #1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins.  Rookies are not the only players who will have a new home this postseason, but some big name veterans will change addresses as well.

Let’s play who’s on the trading block!  Someone cue the corny game show music. Here’s a list of key players on the block and destinations:

  • Paul GeorgeLakers, Cavs, Celtics, Clippers
  • Jimmy ButlerCeltics, Lakers, Cavs, Timberwolves
  • Kevin LoveKnicks, Suns
  • DeAndre Jordan – Draft Pick
  • Demarcus AldridgeDraft Pick
  • Dwight Howard- Has been traded to the Hornets
  • Kristap Porzingis(Puzzling) – Who knows because Phil Jackson is an idiot

There are more players than can be listed which speaks volume to the temperature of the NBA right now.  No one is off limits this offseason.  The Cavs are the most intriguing story right now. What will they do with LeBron knowing there is a chance he may walk again next season?  The team had a deal in place for Jimmy Butler before they randomly fired general manager, David Griffin.  Now, you hear that Cav’s players told Jimmy to stay away from Cleveland due to something catastrophic is about to happen.  There were also reports that Kyrie told Butler that he was interested in coming to Chicago!  All this news in only two days could be considered chaos!   What in the name of Jesus Shuttlesworth is going on?  I don’t know about you but I can’t remember seeing so much post season pandemonium.
